FRANKLIN, Ind. — A Franklin man faces domestic battery charges after allegedly shoving his girlfriend and pointing a gun at her.
A report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s department says the 42-year-old victim asked James Gross, 47, for a ride to work. The request supposedly angered Gross and an altercation ensued. The police report then stated that Gross slammed the victim against a wall, pointed a gun to her head and threatened to take her life. When Gross fled the scene, the victim was able to call police. While police were questioning the victim she received a call about where Gross might be located.
Deputies found Gross in the Copperfield Apartments, off of State Road 135, in Trafalgar, and arrested him without incident. Gross has been charged with domestic battery, possession of a controlled substance and pointing a firearm.
