COLUMBUS, Ind. — One person was injured as the result of a stabbing early Thursday in Columbus. A report from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department says that around 12:30 a.m., police responded to a domestic incident in the 4300 block of East State Street.
When police arrived, the male victim told police that he and Annie Brannon, 39, of Jeffersonville, had been drinking. An altercation ensued, and Brannon allegedly stabbed the victim, cut her own arm with the knife, and then fled the scene.
The victim was treated at Columbus Regional Health for a small stab wound to the back of the head. After finding Brannon, she was charged with domestic battery in the presence of a minor, and battery causing bodily injury. She is being held without bond.
