COLUMBUS, Ind. — A female involved in a domestic incident over the weekend used “text-to-911” to get assistance.
Police responded to the 1200 block of Lafayette Avenue around 9:40 p.m. on Friday and found a female victim with bruises on her arm. She told officers that she had also been choked and had her head slammed into the wall by the suspect.
Police entered the home and found Richard Trulock, 33, in an upstairs bedroom. They took him into custody, and Trulock has been charged with strangulation and domestic battery in the presence of a child.
