NORTH VERNON, Ind. — A North Vernon man has died as the result of a one-vehicle crash on U. S. 50 near County Road 400N in Jennings County on Thursday around 8 a.m.
A car driven by Christian Nolan, 25, was eastbound on U.S. 50, when he drove off the south side of the roadway, became airborne and hit an embankment. The impact ejected Nolan from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to Indiana State Police, Nolan did not appear to be wearing a seat belt.
The accident remains under investigation.
