GREENWOOD, Ind. — Johnson County deputies believe thousands of dollars worth of jewelry was taken during a residential burglary on Friday.
Police responded to the 4500 block of Diamond Ridge around 7:30 p.m., and found the back door open with a light on in an upstairs room. Nothing downstairs was disturbed, but upstairs there were several drawers pulled out of a dresser and a jewelry bag on the floor. When the owner arrived home, he told police several expensive diamond pieces were missing along $1,000 in cash.
Detectives are analyzing physical evidence from the scene and are looking for tips to solve the crime. Any information can be contributed by calling 317-346-4654.
