INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A Seymour man has been sentenced to 28 years in prison and 10 years of supervised release for production of child pornography. Robert D. Jenkins, 50, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Sarah Evans Barker.
United States Attorney Josh Minkler said, “Protecting innocent children from adult predators remains one of the highest priorities in this office. Those who abuse our most vulnerable victims will be held strictly accountable.”
The victim’s mother found five explicit images of her daughter on a cell phone that belonged to Jenkins. The phone was taken to the Seymour police Department where the first report was made. During the investigation police found additional explicit images of the victim on the phone.
Jenkins was sentenced to three years in prison for a similar conviction in Jackson County in 2001.
