BARGERSVILLE, Ind. — A Johnson County sheriff’s deputy was involved in an accident Friday morning during a traffic stop on State Road 135 near County Road 200N.
Sheriff Doug Cox says the deputy retrieved the information from the driver who was pulled over and returned to the patrol car to run a check. While sitting in his sheriff’s vehicle he was struck from behind. The impact pushed the cruiser into the car he had stopped. No injuries were reported. The Bargersville Police Department will be conducting the investigation on the incident.
Sheriff Cox states his agency has been on the scene of at least eight accidents this morning and he advises motorists to allow extra time during the morning commute.
