EDINBURGH, Ind. — Two people were arrested as a result of a routine traffic stop Wednesday.
A report from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department says deputies initiated the stop after clocking a car driven by Tyne Kelsay, 28, going 80 mph in a 55 mph zone on northbound U.S. 31 near Edinburgh. Officers determined Kelsay was intoxicated and charged her with operating a vehicle while intoxicated. A passenger, Javier Baez, 38, gave police several different names at the scene. After determining his real identity, he was charged with false informing.
Two juveniles in the vehicle were turned over to the Department of Children’s Services.
