COLUMBUS, Ind. — An early Wednesday morning traffic stop led to the arrest of two Columbus residents on drug charges.
Police stopped a car driven by Whitney Bunting, 28, around 1:45 a.m., and confirmed there was a warrant for her arrest. A short time later a police canine gave a positive indication for narcotics in the vehicle. Police located a small amount of heroin, methamphetamine, syringes, marijuana and paraphernalia.
Bunting was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, false informing and an outstanding Bartholomew County warrant.
A passenger in the vehcile, Layne Schwartz, 25, was arrested for possession of heroin and possession of paraphernalia.
