GREENWOOD, Ind. — A Shelbyville woman was arrested following a single-vehicle accident in Johnson County, around 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
When Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene they found a car driven by Samantha Morales, 33, about 50 yards into a farm field near the intersection of State Road 44 and County Road 600E. Morales told police she didn’t know what had happened. When asked if she had consumed any alcohol, she replied that she had only had two glasses of wine.
Deputies checked Morales for injuries and conducted a field sobriety test. After failing the test she was taken to a local hospital for a blood draw and then to the Johnson County Jail.
