COLUMBUS, Ind. — An auditing error has left paychecks for Bartholomew County council members short.
In the most recent budget year a three percent raise for council members was approved, but the language was not included when the auditor’s office prepared the salary ordinance.
The raise would have been about $160 annually for each council member. It can not be legally approved again until next year.
