COLUMBUS, Ind. — Two people were arrested after a Sunday evening traffic stop in Columbus. Officers pulled-over a vehicle driven by Douglas Houchens, 37, for a traffic violation on Jonathan Moore Pike around 11:40 p.m. During the stop a police canine alerted them to the odor of narcotics. Police searched the vehicle and found several syringes, drug residue and paraphernalia.
Houchens and a passenger, Desi Buckler, 32, of Edinburgh, were both taken to the Bartholomew County Jail.
