COLUMBUS, Ind. — Two people have been arrested following a shooting in Bartholomew County Sunday.
The investigation began when Lesther Monterroso, 22, of Fort Wayne, came to the Columbus Regional Health emergency room with a gunshot wound around 11:15 a.m. When officers interviewed the victim he did not cooperate and provided false information. Witnesses helped police identify 30-year-old Ernesto Prado as a suspect.
Monterroso was arrested for false informing and possession of a false government ID. Prado was arrested for attempted murder, possession of methamphetamine, and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
