SEYMOUR, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Transportation is looking for residents to serve on the Americans With Disabilities Act Community Advisory Working Group. People with disabilities or people that provide services to persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Advisory group members are expected to travel to six meetings at each district office during the year. Regional committee positions are also available. Committee members provide information and recommendations regarding the ADA Transition Plan. Discussion and advocacy is limited to INDOT’s ADA Transition Plan.
Residents interested should submit a letter of interest and resume before Wednesday, March 1, to Erin L. Hall, INDOT’s Title VI/ADA Program Manager, via email at ehall2@indot.in.gov. Applications may also be sent via mail to 100 North Senate Ave., Room N750, Indianapolis, IN, 46204. There is no application form, only a letter of interest and resume are required.
Potential statewide applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the next ADA Advisory Group meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the upstairs conference room at INDOT’s District Office, at 185 Agrico Lane, in Seymour.
