FRANKLIN, Ind. — Three juveniles are facing charges following a pursuit with Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies early Sunday morning.
Police stopped a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old male for an equipment violation on Jefferson Street near West Street, around 3 a.m. When it was determined the teenager did not have a license, he was ordered out of the vehicle. While the deputy was processing the driver, the other two occupants of the car sped away.
The teens fled east on Jefferson Street, and then north on Jackson Street. Other units intercepted them near the intersection of North Main Street and Oliver Avenue. The vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree at Oliver and Graham Roads. The two teens suffered minor injuries.
Police suspect all three had been drinking. The investigation is ongoing.
