COLUMBUS, Ind. — A local man is facing criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon charges after a weekend incident.
Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 8400 block of Colony Park around 5;30 p.m. on a report of a gun being fired. Police ended up on Sheffield Court and made contact with the homeowner, Adam Brown, 34, who appeared to be intoxicated. When deputies asked about shots being fired, Brown took them to the backyard where he had been shooting at an archery target with .22 caliber pistol and a 12-gauge shotgun.
Due to Brown firing the weapons in close proximity of other homes, police arrested him on the criminal recklessness charge.
