NORTH VERNON, Ind. — Indiana State Police conducted a criminal interdiction patrol over the weekend that resulted in several arrests and citations.
Troopers made eight arrests, issued 10 citations and 11 written warnings. The arrests included narcotics, false informing, domestic battery, minor consuming and outstanding warrants.
A police canine officer alerted to the presence of drugs during a stop on Norris Avenue near White Street around 12:50 p.m., Sunday. The driver, Jennifer Acree, 25, of North Vernon, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. The passenger, Louann Parton, 22, of North Vernon, was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
