COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus police are investigating a report of a possible racially motivated attack.
Reports indicate a teen male was riding a bicycle in the 3100 block of Westenedge Drive when man in a truck drove by and yelled an anti-Muslim slur. The driver also displayed an offensive hand gesture. The boy was not physically harmed, and he immediately returned home to tell his parents who called the police.
The man is believed to be in his 50s or 60s, with a long, white beard. The suspect was driving an older, full-sized maroon Ford pickup truck with loud exhausts and an American flag flying from a pole in the bed of the truck.
