GREENWOOD, Ind. — Two people are facing drug charges after an investigation into suspicious activity in Johnson County Wednesday around 12:40 a.m.
Johnson County deputies were called when workers saw Matthew Rice, 32, and Sarah Slaton, 30, moving things from a shed outside a convenience store in the 6100 block of Smith Valley Road to a nearby wood line. When police arrived they found both subjects laying on the ground near the shed. After a police canine gave a positive indication for narcotics, police found paraphernalia and marijuana.
Matthew Rice has been charged with possession of marijuana. Sarah Slaton has been charged with an outstanding warrant from Michigan.
