NORTH VERNON, Ind. — The North Vernon Police Department has identified the body found earlier this week under the State Street bridge as Erick Austin, 32, of Scottsburg. Austin was discovered Tuesday around 5 p.m. on North State Street.
Police say there were no obvious signs of injury but syringes and items used to package drugs were found at the scene. Toxicology tests are pending.
