COLUMBUS, Ind. — A report of a suspicious vehicle led to two drug arrests in Columbus on Friday around 8:40 p.m.
A Columbus Police Department report indicates that officers were called to the 2400 block of Beam Road and found the driver of the vehicle, Joshua Fox, 28, and passenger, Phillip Thompson, 23, attempting to hide a plastic needle cap. During further investigation, a police canine gave a positive indication for narcotics. The report continued to say that when Fox exited the vehicle police located two syringes that contained suspected heroin and also found a glass pipe and marijuana.
Thompson was taken into custody for two outstanding Bartholomew County warrants. Fox was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a legend drug injection device.
