FRANKLIN, Ind. — Johnson Memorial Health has received accreditation from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission in echocardiography.
Echocardiography is a method to assess different areas of the heart to detect heart disease or signs of serious cardiovascular conditions. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, and stroke is the fourth highest. According to the American Heart Association, more than 2,150 Americans die each day from cardiovascular disease which amounts to about one every 40 seconds.
“We hope to be your service provider for cardiology services in Franklin, Indiana and surrounding counties,” said Frank Conte, MD, Medical Director of Johnson Memorial Health’s Cardiovascular Care Center.
The training and experience of the sonographer performing the procedure is very important in order to attain a quality assessment. This accreditation is proof that patients can rely on Johnson Memorial Health’s dedication to quality and continuous improvement.
