FRANKLIN, Ind.–A man that law enforcement says is a person of interest in the murders of two Delphi girls last year has been returned to Indiana. Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox tells Local News Digital that Daniel Nations, 32, of Greenwood, is now in custody at the Johnson County Jail. Nations was being held by authorities in Colorado after he was accused of threatening some hikers.
Deputies traveled to Colorado to bring him back to the Hoosier state for an outstanding warrant. Nations is wanted in Johnson County for failing to register as a sex offender and was arrested on that charge. Cox says a court date is pending.
At this time, police say they have not formally named Nations a suspect in the Delphi murders, and the crimes remain unsolved.
