
COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Board of Public Works and Safety met Tuesday morning and approved the submission of the 2019-2023 consolidated plan for the assessment of fair housing. The board okayed the plan, saying that there are no major changes compared to the previous one. In addition, the 2019 annual action plan was approved.
The city also gave its approval for a resolution to change the employee mileage rate to the IRS rate. Before, the city employee mileage rate was 50.5 cents.
Lastly, the board entered into an agreement with Christopher Burke Engineering to update the flood risk management plan for a $53,900 fee. The purpose of the change is to update old data and incorporate it with new, more recent information. The flood risk management plan was originally created in 2012.
