GREENWOOD, Ind. – Greenwood Public Library (GPL) is getting ready to make it easier than ever to find the book that you want with its new Subject Savvy system. The new setup is aimed at making it easier for people to find the books they are looking for through word-based searches.
Currently, you find a book by utilizing the Dewey Decimal system or by getting help from a librarian. GPL says that Subject Savvy makes the process simpler by no longer sorting books by numbers, but rather by using words.
According to the library, it will take some time to make the switch and certain areas may seem unorganized as changes are in the process of taking effect.
