COLUMBUS, Ind. – Authorities at the Columbus Police Department (CPD) say a local woman was arrested Wednesday morning after she reportedly fled an accident scene that left another driver with minor injuries. CPD responded to a two-vehicle crash near Kentucky Avenue and South Mapleton Street shortly before 11:30 a.m.
Police say one of the drivers, later identified as Allison Perdue, 22, of Columbus, ran from the accident into a residence in the 300 block of Hege Avenue. Officers located the suspect a short time later and she was taken into custody. The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries in the alleged hit-and-run incident.
Perdue was booked for leaving the scene of an accident and driving without ever receiving a license.
