COLUMBUS, Ind. – A Bartholomew County woman was arrested Saturday afternoon after she supposedly attempted to flee on a bicycle from Columbus Police Department (CPD) officers. Law enforcement was dispatched to a convenience store in the 200 block of North Gladstone Avenue, at around 5:30 p.m., in regards to a woman harassing customers.
Police say as they spoke to the woman, she became argumentative and refused to identify herself when the officers attempted to issue her a trespass warning. The woman, later identified as Katrina Wade, 27, rode off on a bike. CPD later found her on a nearby street, however, the suspect allegedly refused to stop.
Wade was eventually detained and placed under arrest on preliminary charges of two Bartholomew County warrants, resisting law enforcement, and disorderly conduct.
