COLUMBUS, Ind. – Local law enforcement officers are investigating the death of a woman who was shot at a Columbus apartment complex on Friday night. The Columbus Police Department (CPD) responded to Spruce Ridge Apartments, in the 3700 block of Picea Place, at around 9 p.m., in regards to the fatal shooting.
When authorities arrived they found a deceased, adult female inside an apartment. The woman was later identified as Cassondra M. Wilson, 45, of Columbus.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department notified CPD that the victim’s former husband, Troy Wilson, 44, was found dead Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis. Law enforcement says Troy Wilson is a person of interest in the death of his ex-wife, Cassondra Wilson.
Police in both Columbus and Indianapolis say the investigations into the deaths are ongoing.
