NEW YORK CITY – Business Insider has honored Columbus by naming it as one of the Top 30 cities in America you should consider if you are uprooting and moving to a new place after the novel coroanvirus crisis.
The financial and business news website decided to find out which cities could be the best to live in after the pandemic for those planning to continue remote work.
Business Insider used nine economic, educational, and demographic metrics that it thought people might consider when relocating. The measures included the city’s unemployment rate, ability to work from home, housing affordability, cost of living, and share of residents age 25 and over who have at least a bachelor’s degree.
Columbus fared well because 79.5% of households spend less than 30% of income on housing, the best among metro areas. Also, its pre-coronavirus unemployment rate was 2.3%, tied for 13th lowest.
