NORTH VERNON, Ind. – As of Tuesday, the Jennings County Health Department and Schneck Medical Center have made free COVID-19 testing available to residents. The tests are being administered at the ETC Training Center, 1200 East O&M Ave., in North Vernon.
The days and hours of operation are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m, and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are closed on Sunday and Monday.
Testing is free and you do not have to be symptomatic to be tested. It is a PCR test, the most accurate for detecting COVID-19 infection. Results will be available in 2-3 three days.
