COLUMBUS, Ind. – Law enforcement officers arrested 16 people on several criminal charges, including 10 felonies, during a shoplifting sting nicknamed “Operation Roll-Back” at a local department store on Thursday.
The investigation and subsequent arrests occurred inside and around the Walmart, at 735 Whitfield Dr., Columbus. The effort was organized by members of the Intelligence-Led Policing Unit, a collaboration of the Columbus Police Department, the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office.
Those taken into custody include:
Anthony M. Brown, 27, Columbus, for dealing in a narcotic drug, possession of a legend drug, resisting law enforcement in a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia
Jeffrey D. Johnson, 63, Columbus, for possession of methamphetamine
James R. Bennett, 28, Columbus, for possession of a syringe, possession of meth, resisting law enforcement in a vehicle, and resisting law enforcement
Christopher M. Allman, 36, Seymour, for possession of meth and possession of heroin
Rose Mary Boling, 40, Columbus, for possession of a syringe and possession of a controlled substance
Jennifer N. Lenderman, 41, Columbus, for driving while suspended with a prior conviction
Gregory A. Ferrell, 41, Columbus, for driving while suspended with a prior conviction
Robert M. Faulkner, 23, Columbus, for driving while suspended with a prior conviction
Shannon Crouch, 48, Columbus, for theft
Richa J. Gordon, 52, Columbus, for theft
Carrie M. McGeorge, 45, Columbus, for theft
Derek M. Weddle, 31, Columbus, for theft and criminal trespass
Jerry A. Williamson Jr., 35, Columbus, for criminal mischief
Hoyt L. Chambers Jr. 48, Scipio, for operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license
