COLUMBUS, Ind. – For the first time in her life, Tiffany Bosley is jumping into politics and running for a Bartholomew County Council At-Large seat this election.
Commenting on it being her initial political venture, she said, “I thought I would bring the diversity that Columbus needs.” Bosley continued, “We’re definitely in a time where we need changes, diversity, and different perspectives.”
Currently, it is an entirely Republican council. Bosley, a Democrat, says she thought now was the time for a new face to the county council after the Columbus City Council flip to a democratic majority last November. When asked why people should vote for her, she responded, “I want to bring financial security. Sometimes, doing the same thing over and over stops us from bringing in fresh ideas.”
Bosley is one of three Democrats running for an At-Large seat this election. The other two Democrats are Olisa Humes and R. Claudette Schroer. The three Republicans on the ballot include Bill Lentz, Evelyn Pence, and Matt Miller, all currently serving on the council.
This is the first in a series of six stories on all the Bartholomew County Council candidates.
