FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin Community Schools (FCS) Superintendent Dr. David Clendening has announced the system’s “safe return plan” for the 2021-2022 school year.
Dr. Clendening penned a letter to parents on the FCS website saying that masks/facial coverings will be optional when schools reopen in August. He said, “I understand that we’re not out of the woods, so FCS will have safety measures in place that will be shared throughout the summer. The district will continue to work with local officials if our course of action needs to be altered.”
He continued, “As I have often said, parents are the best decision-makers for their children. I hope this update helps you begin to plan for the upcoming year.”
