COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) responded to a personal injury crash Tuesday afternoon at 1231 West County Road 100N.
Deputies arrived at around 12:30 p.m. and were quickly joined by the Columbus Fire Department, Columbus Regional Health EMS, and IU Health Lifeline medics in working to extricate the male driver who was trapped inside his vehicle and then care for him.
The man, later identified as Allick Olive, 30, of Columbus was then transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, for treatment of serious injuries.
Sheriff Matt Myers said, “We are proud to work alongside so many brave men and women who serve the community. These agencies worked together flawlessly to extract the victim from his vehicle.” He added, “Speed was a factor in this accident, and BCSO reminds you to slow down and arrive safely.”
