INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Every two years, the Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) and the Office of the Governor team up to celebrate individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the state through the arts. Bob and Barbara Stevens, of Columbus, and six other Hoosiers were honored Sunday with the Governor’s Arts Award.
Since moving to Columbus in 1985, Bob and Barbara have been leaders in business and supporters of the arts. They believe in giving back to and leaving a legacy for their community and Columbus has benefited from their support of numerous arts-based organizations.
The commitment to Columbus and the area by the Stevens family can be seen in the range of projects and causes they have supported including the Columbus Area Arts Council, the Commons new building, the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, the IU J. Irwin Miller Architecture Program, and more.
