COLUMBUS, Ind. – One of the National Weather Service (NWS) Flood Warnings for Bartholomew County ended Monday at 11:30 p.m. Minor flooding and high water were reported at Haw Creek near Clifford, County Road 450N, Rocky Ford Road west of Marr Road, and the People Trail.
A second Flood Warning was issued by NWS on Monday afternoon is in effect until Wednesday evening for East Fork of the White River in Columbus.
Roads closed as of Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. include County Road 800S between State Road 11 and US 31, South Gladstone Avenue, County Road 400N between US 31 and River Road, and County Road 500S in Mineral Springs.
The thunderstorms and heavy rains that moved through the area Sunday night and early Monday morning also caused minor damage including downed trees and flooding across roadways.
