COLUMBUS, Ind. – Our Hospice of South Central Indiana and Palliative Care has announced Leigh Anderson, M.D., as its new medical director. Dr. Anderson, an Indiana native, received her Doctor of Medicine and her Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship from the Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Hospital.
Dr. Anderson oversees the medical care delivered by physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses, supported by home health aides, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers. She is instrumental in delivering patient-centered care as well as building relationships with the hospitals and medical communities throughout Our Hospice’s 16-county service area.
“Our entire staff, patients, and families have already been impressed by the leadership and expertise that Dr. Anderson has brought to our organization,” said Our Hospice president Laura Leonard.
