COLUMBUS, Ind. – Centra Credit Union was recognized for three statewide awards for philanthropic efforts and Member-friendly programs by the Indiana Credit Union League earlier this month. Below are the awards that Centra won, including the programs associated with each.
First place for the Youth Financial Literacy award. The app Zogo was introduced which improves the account opening process for Members ages 13 to 17 by eliminating the requirement for an adult co-owner.
First place for the Philosophy in Action Award. Centra was honored for introducing Member Loyalty Rewards, including the streamlining of checking account options and the initial payout of $2 million in special dividends.
Second place for the Social Responsibility Community Service Award. The #PayItForward service project was introduced. Each Team Member was given a $20 gift card to buy someone’s groceries, donate to a local non-profit, or perform other similar deeds.
