COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Council for Youth Development (CYD) welcomed Columbus resident Sara Dunlap as the organization’s new director on Thursday, December 1. Dunlap received her Bachelor of Science/Education from Indiana University and earned her Master of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University.
She was selected because of her education, enthusiasm, and love of sharing tools and resources with families in the community.
“We are very excited about Sara taking the leadership role with Council for Youth Development,” says Chuck Kime, Executive Director of Foundation For Youth, which serves as CYD’s fiscal agent. “In addition to her wealth of experience, we know she will champion the needs and abilities of our community’s youth.”
Sara spent 12 years as a teacher with Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation. She also served as a Career Development Advisor for Ivy Tech Community College, as the 4-H Youth Development Educator in Decatur County, and as a Diversity Training Coordinator with Cummins, Inc.
