GREENWOOD, Ind. – The 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program recently named four Center Grove High School seniors as Finalists. They are Grant Embrey, Gowthamm Mandala, Walker Millhoff, and Micah Robertson.
To become a Finalist, over 16,000 Semifinalists and their high schools had to submit a scholarship application that included information about the student’s academic record, participation in school and community activities, leadership abilities, employment, and honors received. Each Finalist received a Certificate of Merit.
These seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for other National Merit Scholarships worth $30 million. The nationwide pool of Finalists represents fewer than 1% of U.S. high school seniors.
Now through mid-June, NMSC will notify Finalists if they are selected for a Merit Scholarship award.
