COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Treasurer Barbara Hackman is reminding residents that property tax bills will be mailed on Thursday, April 13.
Bills are only sent out once a year for both installments of your taxes. The spring payment is due on May 10, and the fall installment must be paid by November 13.

Bartholomew County is making several payment options available to citizens.
Payment Options:
- MAIL – Remit Payment to Bartholomew County Treasurer, PO Box 1986, Columbus, IN 47202. (Must be postmarked by the due date to be considered on time)
- IN PERSON – Government Office Building, 440 Third St., Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- DROPBOX – Two 24-hour drop boxes are available. Both are located at the Government Office Building, 440 Third Street. One is on Third Street across from the Crump Theatre, and the other is on Franklin Street by the back entrance.
- BANKS – Several financial institutions are accepting payments: Centra Credit Union, First Financial Bank, Jackson County Bank, Horizon Bank, and German American Bank.
- ONLINE BANKING/PHONE – Pay by credit/debit card or e-check at bartholomew.in.gov. Pay by phone at 844-278-9126. (Note: a convenience fee will be assessed for either of these options)
