EDINBURGH, Ind. — A Seymour Young Marine Troop donated more than 2000 stuffed animals to Columbus Regional Health and Schneck Medical Center as part of the “Stuffed with Love’ campaign, which recently ended.
The effort began back in March. ATI rehab clinics served as drop-off locations for the donation. The troop also received help from local companies in reaching its goal.
Research shows that a new stuffed animal companion can calm a child and help them feel safe and not alone.
The 2109 stuffed animals collected shattered their original goal of 1000.
