FRANKLIN, Ind. – Upstream Prevention in Johnson County, in collaboration with the Assisting Through Loss After Suicide (ATLAS) Team and the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Johnson County, is launching two support groups in January for people who have lost someone to suicide. One is for teens (13-17) and the other is an adult group for those 18 and over.
Individuals interested in attending either of the groups can fill out the interest form here.
Facilitators for the groups are volunteer members of the ATLAS Team and have completed the facilitator training through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Individuals will receive a call or email from their facilitator leading up to the group meeting date to provide location and group expectations.
The groups are meant to be open (i.e., come when you can), but individuals should complete the interest form first so the team can ensure they’re a good fit for the group and have reasonable expectations for them.
