NORTH VERNON, Ind. – This past Monday was Inauguration Day in North Vernon for the town’s new Mayor, Clerk-Treasurer, and City Councilors.
Officially welcomed were Councilmen Jarrod Daeger and Pat Kirchner, Clerk-Treasurer Charlie Weber, and Mayor Shawn Gerkin. Three returning members of the North Vernon City Council, Andrew Klescht, Jack Kelley, and Baron Wilder also took oaths on New Year’s Day.
Jennings Circuit Court Judge Ellie Bright had the honor of swearing in all of the citizens who will serve for the next four years.
