COLUMBUS, Ind. – During his lifetime, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. made it clear that he wanted citizens to channel their energies toward advancing the common good, saying, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”
The United Way of Bartholomew County (UWBC) is asking the community to remember his belief that each of us must find a way to serve.
When you volunteer for the United Way of Bartholomew County MLK Day of Service, you are joining hundreds of people who are moving the community forward by giving back so others can get ahead and reach their full potential. UWBC needs your time and talent to accomplish this bold goal.
This Monday, January 15, on MLK Day, you can help Sans Souci sort donations or ensure children admitted into local hospitals have the comfort of a stuffed bear. Other ways to help include pantry organizing and cleaning at Love Chapel or painting at Brighter Days Shelter.
