COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bicycle Station on Washington Street presents the Columbus Criterium in downtown Columbus, this Sunday, June 30.
A criterium, or crit, is a bicycle race on a closed course, often on a public street that is closed to regular traffic.
The race consists of multiple laps around the course. Criteriums are known for being fast-paced, intense, and unpredictable.
Street closures for the route include Washington Street, 5th Street, Lafayette Avenue, and 8th Street.
Everyone is invited to join the fun and watch the bike races. Drinks and food will be available for purchase at the 6th Street Art Alley on 6th Street between Washington and Franklin Streets.
There will also be a free Kids’ Race and a free Adult Fun Ride.
