GREENWOOD, Ind. – Indy South Greenwood Airport brings the community together for Airport Day on Saturday, August 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the airport.
It is a day of activities, exhibits, food, and fun. Parking and admission are free. Food can be purchased from vendors.
Airport Day attendees will see World War II aircraft, vehicles, and live reenactors.
The local Young Eagles chapter will offer free plane rides for kids ages 8-17. Paid aircraft and helicopter rides are available as well.
Several flight training schools will be on-site for those interested in learning to fly.
