HOPE, Ind. – Hope Heritage Days, Indiana’s biggest three-day festival, is ready for the big weekend even though the weather doesn’t want to cooperate. Organizers say, “The show will go on.”
The Hope Police Department wants attendees to know that this year’s closures are different than in past years. The middle and inside parking areas are already shut down. You will only be able to go east on Washington, north on Harrison, and west on Jackson Streets.
Beginning Friday at 9 a.m., all of Harrison Street, from Mill Street to the alley north of the town hall, and all of Washington Street from the alley by the Methodist Church to Main Street will be closed. At 5 p.m. on Friday, westbound Jackson Street will be shut down from the alley by the Baptist Church to Main Street.
With the changes and the predicted weather, police ask for patience and understanding. If possible, officials encourage you to use a different route and avoid the Hope Town Square altogether.
If you have any questions about the event or scheduled changes, stop by Heritage of Hope, at 611 Harrison St., or call 812-546-5115.
