GREENWOOD, Ind. – In partnership with Johnson County, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor Milestone Contractors plans to close the right lane of southbound State Road 135 from Sable Ridge Lane to Fry Road on or after Monday, October 7. The purpose is so crews can continue to work on a bridge replacement project on Fry Road in Johnson County.
The right lane of southbound S.R. 135 is expected to remain shut down for up to 30 days, weather permitting. Motorists cannot use the northernmost left turn lane from westbound Fry Road located east of S.R. 135 to southbound S.R. 135 while the lane closure is in place.
Message boards and traffic barrels will be utilized throughout the lane closure. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work schedules are subject to change.
