GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Greenwood Parks and Recreation Department will host the city’s annual Halloween trick-or-treat event, Monster Mash, at 6 p.m., this Friday, October 18, and the Halloween Parade in downtown Greenwood on Saturday, October 26 at 5 p.m.
“These events are what the community and I look forward to,” said Greenwood Mayor Mark W. Myers. “The Parks and Recreation Department has outdone themselves throughout this year by providing many memorable opportunities for families and these two events will certainly create even more memories for residents.”
Monster Mash is in Craig Park from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Costumed attendees will trick-or-treat and visit over 25 vendors, enjoy hayrides, music, and more. Admission for the spooktacular event is free and parking will be available at the corner of Meridian Street and Surina Way. Limited VIP tickets remain and can be purchased online. VIP wristbands provide early admission and a free food voucher.
At the Halloween Parade, attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and line the parade route for even more trick-or-treating. Children will receive candy from nearly 50 decorated floats and participants. The parade begins at Craig Park, goes up Washington Street, and west on Main Street before heading south on Madison Avenue. It then goes east on Surina Way and returns to Craig Park.
Attendees can find information on Monster Mash and view the Halloween Parade map and parking details on the City of Greenwood website’s event page.
